cottee 56

Kay Cottee was the first woman to sail single handed nonstop around the World. She did this in 1987-88 aboard the 37 foot yacht First Lady. At the time Kay was a shipwright and, while she went on to many other things, she never lost her original love of boat building. When it came time to get into it again seriously she came to Jutson for the design of an innovative 56 footer which she would use to circumnavigate Australia with her friends and family. From this the Cottee 56 was born.
