racing sail

The first Jutson design was an Australian 18 foot skiff designed in 1985. This boat went on to achieve 2nd in the World Championships the next year and is now part of the permanent collection of the Australian National Maritime Museum. For the next 15 years the design of racing monohulls under a myriad of handicap formulas as well as “rule free” single handed designs occupied the Jutson office full time. Many races won and many records broken based on solid well engineered platforms that always had uniquely long competitive life spans. Three very special projects are presented here.
